The attorney women in New Orleans send each other.
I'm Janell Gaudin. For more than fifteen years I've represented Louisiana clinicians, physicians, and practice owners — before licensing boards, across the negotiating table, and through the employment side of running a business. Most of my clients arrive the same way: a woman they trust told them to call.

For Clinicians & Practices
Whatever landed on your desk, start here.
Most of my provider clients call about one document — a contract, a board letter, a subpoena — and stay because the next one always comes. I work with therapists, social workers, behavior analysts, physicians, and the practices that employ them across Louisiana.
Licensing board defense
Response and defense before Louisiana licensing boards for LCSWs, counselors, behavior analysts, physicians, and other licensed providers. A board letter is not a formality — early counsel changes outcomes.
Contract negotiation
Employment agreements, buy-ins, non-competes, and recruiter negotiations — reviewed and negotiated before you sign, not litigated after. You should know exactly what you're agreeing to and what it's worth.
Employment law
Hiring, discipline, separation, and the policies in between — counsel for practices as employers, and for clinicians and physicians signing on as employees.
HIPAA & data-breach response
Incident investigation, risk assessment, and notification analysis under HIPAA and Louisiana's breach statute — with a clear record of the decisions you made and why.
Subpoena & records response
When a subpoena or agency request arrives for client records, what you release and how you respond carries real risk. Get an answer before you comply.
Practice formation & documents
Entity setup, intake and consent forms, and the operational paperwork a compliant practice runs on — drawn from more than a decade of drafting these documents for Louisiana clinicians.
Flat fees for defined work. Contract reviews, board-complaint responses, and practice-document drafting are priced as fixed engagements wherever possible — you'll know the cost before I start.

Janell Gaudin
I've practiced law in New Orleans for more than fifteen years, and my work has always sat where the law meets daily operations — the contracts, policies, and documents that decide whether a practice actually holds up.
Before and alongside my legal practice, I worked inside healthcare operations. I've seen where regulatory requirements meet the reality of scheduling, staffing, and documentation, and it shapes how I advise: workable answers and clean documents over memos you can't use.
There's a through-line in my client list. Most of the people I represent are women — clinicians and practice owners protecting a license and a business they built — and nearly all of them were referred by another woman I've represented. I take that as the only marketing that counts.
